We started as a small single-provider practice in April 2010 under the name Dagenhart and Associates. Our goal was to grow to serve the community on a larger scale and add many more “associates” with the same vision. By the time our first associate was hired in 2012, we immediately outgrew the space and moved to a new location on Thomas Johnson Drive in Fredrick. 

In 2016, Julie Dagenhart joined the practice as a much-needed Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. This quickly led to another move closer to Frederick Health Hospital on 7th Street where we continued to grow. In 2018 we opened a second location in the same building to accommodate our growth.

We started looking for additional space in late 2021 and landed on our current location on Buckeystown Pike in May of 2023. This location was able to consolidate the 2 previous locations into one.

2023 also marked a name change for Dagenhart and Associates. In March of 2023 we changed our name to Dagenhart Health and Wellness in order to represent the broader services that the practice now offers.  

Our newest location in Hagerstown, Maryland opened in April 2023 to serve the needs of Washington County. 

Our hope is to continue to grow and excel at our current locations while exploring expansion into neighboring counties and states that are greatly underserved. This is why we are committed to remaining in-network with commercial and state insurances to allow everyone the opportunity to access high quality and financially-accessible mental health services. Even as Dagenhart Health and Wellness grows, we continue to pride ourselves on being a "mom and pop shop" that emphasizes quality service and support to both its patients and staff.
